“You know what I always say…”
We all know this is a funny scene, but this moment in it is also kind of sad. Because the Sheriff just gives in when Stiles says this. He knows his son’s keeping something from him. He knows that he’s being lied to frequently. He barely recognizes Stiles nowadays. He’s tried to figure out what it is, but Stiles won’t tell and he can’t figure it out. He’s just sort of given in to all of this because his son is still alive and that’s what matters most to him.

Colton: This is the first time they’ve ever had, like talking about [Stiles’] mom.
Dylan: Right, where it’s just the two of them. Yeah, it’s sad.
Colton: It’s such a great bonding scene. And he’s still wearing his ring.
Dylan, Hoechlin, & Posey: Awwwww.
Holland: Oh, I know. Aw.
Posey: I didn’t even noticed that, dude.
Colton: I just noticed that now. I just got chills.
Posey: Painful. It’s painful.
Dylan: Oh, that’s so sad. I didn’t even notice that.
